Keep It Shot is a macOS application that uses artificial intelligence to generate descriptive names for screenshots automatically. The tool creates an offline, private index that allows fast keyword searches across all captured images. Users can rename large batches in two clicks and monitor progress through a simple progress bar.

Renaming preferences can be customized, and the application can apply new names automatically whenever a new screenshot is saved. If a generated name is not acceptable, the original filename can be restored with a single click. OCR and short image or video descriptions are extracted to add useful metadata and search keywords.
