Enclave AI runs large language models directly on Mac and iPhone devices, keeping all text, voice, and document processing offline. The app supports on‑device speech recognition and synthesis, allowing voice‑enabled conversations without Internet access.
Users can download and switch between open‑source models such as Llama, Qwen, SmolLM, and Gemma, choosing sizes that balance performance and device resources. Custom assistants can be defined with distinct system prompts and personalities, and each assistant stores its own conversation history locally and encrypted.
Document context is enabled by uploading PDFs or text files, which the app reads and summarizes entirely on the device. Shortcuts and Siri integration let users trigger AI tasks in automation workflows, while an iMessage extension offers AI‑assisted messaging inside the Messages app.
