What is ChatTab?
ChatTab is a native macOS application that lets users interact with OpenAI’s GPT‑3.5, GPT‑4, GPT‑4‑Vision, GPT‑4‑32k and Claude‑2 models via a local API key stored in Apple’s keychain.
It supports multiple chat tabs, Markdown formatting, shortcut keys for quick access, and iCloud‑based prompt storage.
The app can ingest PDFs, XML, TXT, CSV, JSON, and Markdown files and run them through code interpreter and knowledge‑retrieval functions.
Image input is enabled with GPT‑4‑Vision, allowing visual queries.
All conversation data stays on the device, with optional iCloud sync, ensuring privacy and a low memory footprint.
