Do you auto select rhe model based on the prompt or am I going to get a different reply on every query from each model ? Or do I select the model manualy for each query ?
Neither, and I think the confusion is worth clearing up because it changes what you'd expect from the extension. AI Toolbox doesn't pick models and doesn't send your prompts anywhere. It isn't a router or an aggregator sitting between you and the AI. You keep working exactly as you do now, on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok. You pick your model there, with that platform's own model picker, and the reply comes from that model. Nothing about that changes. What we add is a layer on top: folders and subfolders, search across your whole history, saved prompts you can drop in with , bulk export, automatic tagging. So there's no "different reply from each model" happening, because we never send a query to more than one place. One chat, one model, the one you selected. The only place a model name comes up on our side is the context meter, which reads which model you're currently on so it can estimate how full that conversation's context window is. That's read-only, and you can override the plan yourself if the detection guesses wrong. The one thing that does span platforms is your organization. Your folders, prompts and tags can follow you across all four, so a prompt you save on Claude is there when you're on ChatGPT. But the conversation itself always stays on whichever platform you're using.
