What is Actionbook?
Actionbook is an AI browser assistant that automates web tasks inside the browser via a Chrome extension. It reads data behind logins, interacts with pages (clicks, types, completes forms), and delivers finished results linked to their original sources.
Users can run saved recipes to extract dashboards, aggregate leads and reports, export CSVs, or update CRMs like HubSpot without leaving the sites they use.Control features include local credential storage, session-bound access, run-time approvals for important actions, and provenance links back to source pages.
Teams in sales, marketing, product, engineering, and creators can use Actionbook for sales outreach, account health briefs, analytics audits, prospect research, and routine operational workflows.Integrations and examples include Google Sheets, Linear, HubSpot, and automated recipes for exporting leads, preparing meeting briefs, and auditing creator analytics.
Users can select external models (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok), save repeatable workflows, and accelerate cross-site automation while keeping credentials local.

Dashboard & analytics reporting: collects metrics from the analytics, campaign, and creator dashboards you use across sites, then turns them into a clear weekly report or CSV, such as creator performance audits and keyword-gap ranking.
-
Community, review & competitive research: scans forum discussions, customer reviews, and competitor pages for what people praise or complain about, or pricing changes, then reports findings with links back to the original sources.

This seems interesting, mainly the ability to operate across multiple tabs and dashboards without manual copy/pasting. How exactly are credentials handled? Does it rely on my authenticated sessions already to perform the work. I see it's local but just making sure, how does that work?
Thanks for the comment! Actionbook runs as a Chrome extension. It reads and takes action through the extension, on the tabs you're already signed into. It never logs in on its own or intercepts your credentials. Your credentials and session stay entirely on your local browser. They are never sent to our servers or to the AI model. The model only ever sees page content and the actions to perform, after your approval.
