What is WhisperUI?

WhisperUI is an audio‑to‑text tool that uses the OpenAI Whisper ASR model to transcribe spoken content into editable text and SRT subtitle files. Users can drag and drop or browse MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, M4A, WAV, OGG, and WEBM files up to 25 MB for transcription, with support for multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, German, and Chinese.

The web interface allows batch uploads and, for premium use, unlimited daily file uploads and SRT conversion. Transcriptions appear instantly for review and correction, and the application stores the user’s OpenAI API key locally to maintain privacy.
