What is Whisper Memos?
Whisper Memos is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that lets users record voice memos quickly—one tap on the phone, a complication tap on the watch, or via Siri Shortcuts—and automatically transcribes the audio using OpenAI Whisper or ElevenLabs Scribe for near‑perfect accuracy.
The app formats each transcription into a clean email, adding automatic paragraph breaks and a customizable summary prompt, so users can review notes later without manual editing. Transcribed memos can be sent to productivity tools such as Notion, Trello, Evernote, and Task apps through built‑in integrations, Mail Drop, or Zapier, and users can import existing audio files from the Files app, Share sheet, or clipboard.
Additional features include ADHD‑focused reminders that pin tasks to the lock screen and a dedicated “brain‑dump” mode that turns rapid thoughts into concise summaries. Whisper Memos supports multiple audio formats (MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, FLAC) up to 100 MB and works offline for transcription once the model is downloaded.
