What is Atlas?

Atlas is source control for coding agents, consolidating multiple agent threads, tool calls, and commits into a single workspace. It runs multiple agents side-by-side with true concurrency and per-thread session workers, streaming each agent’s tool calls live.

Every session is captured locally on a timeline and linked to checkpoints that map commits back to the producing session and reasoning. The app combines an editor, terminal, browser, diff view, and git graph so code, reviews, and agent activity remain in one window.

A searchable activity log and inbox record tool calls, permission prompts, and replayable events for auditing and debugging. Project knowledge lives as plain markdown next to the repo and is exposed to agents through a reference system that resolves files, branches, commits, and threads.

Token transparency, explicit permission prompts, and local-first storage provide traceability and control over agent actions.
