What is Receipts?

Receipts analyzes iMessage history on macOS to generate comprehensive summary statistics and detailed insights into online relationships and group interactions. The tool stores all data locally, using OpenAI’s ChatGPT only for optional AI features that do not retain user information.

Users can simulate conversations with past contacts through AI‑driven interaction models. Receipts supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, with a download available for each architecture. To bring additional messages onto the Mac, open Messages, go to Settings, select the iMessage tab, and click “Sync Now” to add contacts and saved messages.
