Open Microsoft 365 Co-pilot and have it ready before you start

Open Microsoft 365 Copilot and switch to Work mode to access your organization’s files

In Word, create a new document and paste the full meeting transcript or upload the .docx file

Select the transcript text, then type the prompt: “Summarize the main discussion points in three concise bullet points” and press Enter

Below the summary, type the prompt: “List every action item mentioned, include the responsible person and any due date” and press Enter

Review the generated summary and action‑item list, editing any details for accuracy

Copy the action‑item table and paste it into Excel to create a structured tracker

Save the summary as a Word file named ‘Meeting Summary – [Date]’ and share it with all attendees via Outlook
