Open Canva AI and have it ready before you start
Open the Canva homepage and click the Canva AI chat icon to launch the AI interface.
Select the Design for me option, then choose Social media → Instagram post as the format.
Enter a clear prompt describing the graphic, e.g., “Cute quote graphic with a playful dog photo and the text ‘Life is better with a dog’ in a fun font.”
Click Submit and wait a few seconds while Canva AI generates four design variations.
Review the four thumbnails, then click the one you like to open a larger preview.
Use the quick‑edit toolbar to swap the dog photo, edit the headline, or change colors; optionally click Add media to upload your own image for style matching.
When the design looks good, click Use in Canva editor to open the full editor for any final tweaks such as layout, fonts, or brand colors.
Click Download, choose PNG (or JPG), and save the Instagram post graphic to your device.
