What is MeeLang?
MeeLang is a Chrome extension that provides real-time AI-translated subtitles for Google Meet, displaying translated captions as participants speak. It detects source language automatically and produces context-aware translations to preserve conversational phrasing and handle jargon.
Live bilingual transcripts are stored locally in the browser, searchable and exportable for later review. Subtitles appear as a floating overlay within the meeting tab with minimal setup—install the extension and join a call.
The extension captures meeting audio directly in the tab without requiring meeting bots or additional accounts. Transcripts are kept in-browser by default, and support for additional meeting platforms and automated meeting summaries is planned.
