What is Kerlig™?
Kerlig™ is a macOS‑native AI writing application that enables users to edit, proofread, and generate content directly within any Mac app. By selecting text and activating a global hotkey, the tool can apply actions such as spelling and grammar correction, style refinement, summarization, and code conversion, then paste the output back into the original document.
Kerlig supports more than 350 cloud models—including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Groq—as well as local options like Apple Foundation Models, Ollama, and LM Studio. It offers a built‑in action library and the ability to create custom presets for personalized workflows.
The app integrates with common file types, allowing analysis, summarization, and chat over PDFs, Word files, and web pages. Kerlig maintains privacy by sending requests directly to AI providers and encrypting data on the user’s machine. The interface includes a chat view, history navigation, and global shortcuts, making AI assistance feel like a native Mac feature.
