What is HookGen?
HookGen – an AI‑driven music hook generator that creates original piano melodies with selectable emotion (sad, happy), complexity (simple, complex), and section type (intro, middle, outro). Users can preview, stop, and download the generated hook as a royalty‑free MIDI file for use in DAWs such as Ableton, Pro Tools, and Logic Pro X.
Each song receives a unique URL for easy sharing. The application collects listening metrics to refine the neural network, enhancing future hook quality. HookGen runs on desktop PCs and Macs; mobile support is limited. Planned updates include simultaneous multi‑instrument tracks—drums, guitar, bass, strings, and brass—by the end of the year.
