What is Hackerman.AI?
Hackerman Text is a lightweight, zero‑latency code editor that runs offline by default and provides on‑demand AI code completion from local or cloud models. It supports multi‑cursor editing, split‑view windows, and detachable tabs for simultaneous work on several files.
Built‑in syntax highlighting includes lexers for Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust, Zig, Lisp, and many other languages, with the ability to add custom lexers for esolangs. The editor offers inline shell command execution, Python evaluation, and native Org‑mode support for notes and literate programming.
Themes, keybindings, and custom commands are stored as plain‑text files, enabling version control and easy portability. Project‑wide search uses ripgrep, and a fast file finder and minimap scroller aid navigation.
