The Workflow

Open Voicemod and have it ready before you start

Download Voicemod from the official website and run the installer to add the app to your computer.

Open Voicemod, go to Settings → Audio and choose your physical microphone as the input and your headphones or speakers as the output.

Turn on the "Voicemod Microphone" toggle and set it as the default system input device so all programs receive the processed audio.

In the Discover tab, browse Voices or Soundboard, click a voice (e.g., "Villager") and enable "Hear myself" to preview the effect.

Adjust the voice’s background volume, bass, and treble sliders, then move the main microphone level until the green bar stays within the yellow‑green zone for optimal loudness.

Open Mixer mode, activate the Noise Gate, and slide the threshold just above ambient noise so background sounds are filtered out.

Launch your streaming or chat app (Discord, OBS, Fortnite, etc.), select "Voicemod Microphone" as the input, and speak to confirm the chosen voice is transmitted live.
