Open Opus Clip and have it ready before you start
Sign into Opus Clip and start a new project from the dashboard.
Provide your source: either paste the YouTube video URL or upload the downloaded video file to Opus Clip.
Select the clip generation options: choose vertical format (9:16) and short length presets for Shorts/Reels/TikTok.
Click “Generate Clips” to let Opus Clip analyze your video and find high-engagement moments automatically.
Review the automatically generated clips and their AI scores to identify the most compelling segments.
Select 10 clips that have strong hooks, clear topics, and high engagement potential for your audience.
For each clip, edit start/end points, customize captions style, and adjust visual layout if needed.
Add or tweak captions, b-roll, and visuals to improve clarity and viewer experience.
Export your finalized clips in the vertical format with captions ready for social platforms.
Upload the clips to TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts with platform-specific titles and descriptions.
