Open Kagi.com and have it ready before you start
Sign up for a Kagi account using an email alias or crypto payment to maintain privacy
Install the Kagi browser extension and set Kagi as your default search engine in your preferred browser
Enter a search query followed by a bang (e.g., "open source notesnook YT!") to redirect the query directly to the target site
Open Kagi Settings, navigate to Result Ranking, and adjust sliders to prioritize small creators, forums, or specific domains
Run a test search to confirm bangs and ranking preferences are applied as expected
Copy the most relevant results and paste them into a note or document for later reference
