The Workflow

Open Descript and have it ready before you start
Open Descript and click **New Project**, then select **Video Project**
Drag and drop your raw video file into the project window; Descript will start uploading and transcribing it automatically
Review the auto‑generated transcript on the left panel; highlight any unwanted sentences and press **Delete** to cut them from the video
Open the **Underlord** AI sidebar, click **Remove filler words**, then press **Remove All** to eliminate ums, uhs, and other filler sounds
Still in Underlord, enable **Studio Sound** to clean up background noise and boost vocal clarity with one click
Use the **Blade tool (B)** on the timeline to make precise cuts for any remaining sections you want to shorten, then delete the unwanted clips
Click **Captions** on the right panel, choose a style, and press **Generate Captions**; Descript will sync the transcript as on‑screen captions
Press **Export**, select **Video**, choose MP4 format and your preferred resolution, then click **Export** to download the finished video
